"this place is exceptional! the rooms are very clean, and the people are extremely accommodating. this past weekend was our 32nd wedding anniversary and as we do every year, we made reservations at a different hotel on the beach. after we saw how filthy the rooms were at the other hotel we left and began searching for somewhere else to stay for the weekend. we stopped at the emerald shores unexpectantly on a friday night, and were more than pleased with our room, the people, the ammenities, and the price. we visit the beach about 4 times a year for a long relaxing weekend, and rest assured that we will always return to the emerald shores. thanks for a great weekend, and for saving our anniversary!!"

"We were just there June 3, 2007 for the first time and just loved it!!! Very, very, very friendly staff, awesome pool and jacuzzi and beautiful view of the beach. Great spacious rooms, lots of parking. The pool and beach were not crowded-- very pleasant and relaxing vacation. I would definitely go back. We stayed at a different hotel 3 years ago right near this one and it was more conjested at the pool and the parking lot was to small and some nights we could not even get into a parking spot ---so that is why we tried the Emeral Shores this year and it was just awesome!!! It is on the quiet side of town but still very close to the boardwalk, daytona lagoon, the lighthouse and all the little shops plus right across the street is an awesome homemade icecream shop and you can walk to the mini golf up the road a bit. I like it cause you are not right in the limelight of the boardwalk hotels were it is overly crowded but you can still be there in a couple of minutes but return to a nice relaxing hotel on the south end of town. Can't wait to return!!!!! 'Kudos' to all the staff at Emerald Shores for making our stay that much more enjoyable!!!!!"

We were unable to go last year & were disappointed that we couldn't stay at Emerald Shores; we had visited the previous summer & were really impressed with what we saw & with the friendliness of the staff. My husband's son & family did stay there last summer & really liked it. We have been vacationing in Daytona for years & last year was the 1st we've had to miss. I can't wait to come back down there! "I absolutely love this hotel. I love the location, the rooms are wonderful and the staff are excellent. Travelling as much as I do, you learn to appreciate the wide range of services that hotels provide, and normally you just don't get the entire package. This hotel would be a great example for other single chain as well as large chain lodging providers to follow. The staff is the biggest plus that hotel has, that in itself speaks greatly of it's management.

"We chose this place based on other guest's recomendations. It was a special 18th anniv weekend away and we were totally satisfied. The oceanfront view was spectactacular (even to watch the storm roll in), the staff was friendly, the room was clean and exactly like the brochure stated! How often does THAT happen! We got there early with the hope of having the room available for early checkin. They couldn't guarantee it on the phone, but when we got there, the room was ready by 11 am, even tho checkin wasn't until 3 pm. It really gave us a headstart on enjoying and making the most of the weekend. There were people around, but the hotel was not overcrowded nor was the stretch of beach that fronted the hotel. The pool was clean and refreshing. Loved it so much, as soon as I got back, I booked another weekend to return. Not many kids in the hotel, so I wouldn't recommend the hotel for families, altho there were lots of kids on the beach, so we are bringing our teenage kids for our next visit.
